Indian Bridal Shower Games
Bridal Showers are one of the most integral part of most Indian Weddings. These are the occasion when the nearest and the dearest of the brides' kith and kin, mostly consisting of the female relatives assemble to give the bride a special shower for the occasion of the wedding. The bride is smeared with herbs and turmeric and cream before she is given this special shower.
Since it is one of the most simplest and yet important customs of an Indian Wedding, it is common to have a series of bridal shower games lined up to make the occasion brighter and more cheerful for the guests and the bride to be alike. Given below are descriptions of some of the popular bridal shower games.
Blindfolded Bridal Shower Game:
One of the common games played on the occasion of a bridal shower is to blindfold the bride and put a pair of oven mitts on her hands. The next step is to have her sit down on a chair and put a bag of clothing in front of her. The bride is then expected to pick an item of clothing from the bag and describe the item while being blindfolded and wearing her oven mitts.
The bride then has to put this item of clothing on herself. The bride repeats this process for each piece of clothing until she is wearing everything that was in the bag. This game is a lot of fun and brings a lot of good laughs among the gathering for the bridal shower.
Stock the Bar Bridal Shower Games:
This game moves from being wistful to downright wacky. This game is appropriate if the bridal shower has a list of guests which include both males and females. This game provides tons of laughs for all, and manages to honor the bride and groom all the while. |
