Bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs and bat chayils are Jewish coming of age ceremonies for boys or 13 and girls of 12 respectively. Obviously these ceremonies have a deep religious significance but they are also a time of joy for the boy or girl in question and their family, friends and community. |
